Last week I did a major stockpile shopping trip. You know it’s major when you spend 60% of the month’s grocery budget in one night and have to use two carts. Ahem. But, I got a lot of great deals (I “heart” case lot sales!) and stocked up on a lot of things that were getting low. Cans of tomatoes for $.38, Flour, Sugar, Rice, Beans, Wheat, Oil etc. Because I spent so much most of our meals this month will be simple and come from the pantry. The extra spending has to come from somewhere if we are going to keep the budget balanced.
This weeks plan:
Friday: Homemade Pizza, Veggie Tray, Salad
Saturday: Steak, Oven Roasted Potatoes, Veggies
Sunday: Chicken Cordon Bleu, Rice, Gravy, Peas & Carrots, Rolls
Monday: Chicken Fettucini Alfredo, Caesar Salad, Breadsticks
Tuesday: Spicy Chicken Skillet, Rice
Wednesday: Chicken Tacos, Rice and Beans, Chips and Salsa
